Daily international flights to Belize make access to the destination easy and convenient, with several airlines servicing Belize.  The international airlines currently serving the country with direct flights are:

  • American Airlines (from Miami, Charlotte, Dallas and Los Angeles)
  • United (from Houston, Newark and Chicago)
  • Delta Airlines (from Atlanta and Los Angeles)
  • Avianca (from San Salvador)
  • Tropic Air (from Cancun, Merida, Roatan, San Pedro Sula and Flores)
  • COPA (from Panama City)
  • Southwest Airlines (from Houston and Denver – Denver scheduled to begin service in March 2017)
  • WestJet Airlines (from Toronto – scheduled to begin service October 2016)

Most direct flights to Belize are daily, while others are weekly or seasonal. New flight schedules on American Airlines now make it possible to book same-day connections when flying from London, Heathrow to Belize (via Miami).

Flying into Cancun International Airport in Mexico is also an option, with road or air transfers into Belize City from Cancun.  Travelers from Mexico City can also fly directly to Chetumal airport.

Private jets (American or Canadian aircraft) may submit flight plans for flights to Belize via a handling agent to the Department of Civil Aviation.  All others must submit information about the plane, its pilot and passengers 24 hours in advance to the Department of Civil Aviation.
