Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge is an intimate, eco-lodge retreat in the Cayo District of Belize, with six well-appointed and private cabins for the discerning naturalist tourist.

Macaw Bank is an authentic jungle lodge with facilities that are designed with guest comfort in mind. The management, staff and guests are committed to having a low impact on the environment. It is notable that this sustainable lodge produces its own electricity and water.

The lodge is situated on the pristine Macal River in the fertile Macal River Valley.

Macaw Bank is truly a naturalist destination, where birdwatching will particularly reward the avid ornithologist. Guests will experience a cacophony of some of the more than 450 species of bird that can be spotted regularly in Belize in the natural surround of our pristine jungle setting.

How to get here

Macaw Bank can arrange for airport pickup (up to 4 passengers and luggage).  Cost is US$125.00 for 1 to 4 people. Guests can rent a vehicle at the Phillip Goldson International Airport and drive themselves to the lodge.  Having a rental vehicle will also facilitate touring the area.

Buses run regularly from Belize City and other towns to San Ignacio. Macaw Bank can also pick guests up in San Ignacio and transfer them to Macaw Bank Jungle Lodge at a cost of $35.00.
