The Carnival Road March is among the top favorite activities, as are the Citizens Parades and Jump Up.  The Carnival will take place in Belize City on Saturday, September 12, 2015, and the 10th and 21st parades, which are cornerstones of Belizean history and culture, will be held on the public and bank holidays: Thursday, September 10 and Monday, September 21 respectively.  The official Flag Raising Ceremony and Fireworks Display takes place at the Memorial Park on the eve of Independence, just before midnight on September 20th.

No matter where you are planning to stay in Belize, there will be no shortage of celebrations, as cities, towns and villages across the country participate in the celebrations.  The official list of countrywide activities can be found here: Click to view the full version of the September Celebrations Calendar of Events 2015
